Having foods prepared ahead of time is a great way to save time and be organized for healthy living. The combination of ingredients makes this recipe last for about four days if places in a sealed container with no oxygen present. I have been eating this for 38 years, and have not yet found any recipe like this. I love it!
Cut fruit into small pieces. Any fruit is fine, but not melons. Here is what I usually use because of they are inexpensive and easy to obtain:
1 pineapple (leave the core for smoothie)
Soak about 1/2 cup raisins in hot water, or if in cool water, soak over night
grind up the following in a coffee grinder:
1/8 c. flax seed
1/4 c. sun seed
1/4 c. sesame seed
1/4 c. almonds
Grate: a generous amount of lemon peel
Squeeze: 1/2 lemon (no seeds)
1/8 c. natural sweetener: such as agave, honey, or sucanat
Stir up all ingredients. Put in small containers so that there is no oxygen in the containers.
